Crooklyn Dodgers 3 by Mos Def

You may remember the first "Crooklyn" produced by A Tribe Called Quest, it was the lead single of Spike Lee's movie "Crooklyn". We found a third version, produced by the appropriatly named 9th Wonder. Mos Def takes this version all the way to the next level.

Release Therapy

Six years into his musical journey, Ludacris who received so many good reviews for his acting carreer presents his fifth release: Release Therapy. It is a not as surprising as one could hope (and expect), but it is still very nice album. "Money Maker," the album's first single, features a nice hook courtesy of Pharrell and Chad Hugo. Some of the tracks, like "Do Your Time", or "Runaway Love," (with Mary J. Blige) tackle very serious themes, and it's nice to see a new side to Ludacris's repertoire, but it lacks the humor that made his previous albums so entertaining and quite simply funny. The Saints Came Out Strong...

In case you missed it, this is the U2 and Green Day performance. Green Day opened the show with a performance of 'Wake Me Up When September Comes' from their 'American Idiot' album. Monday Night Football never sounded this good

U2 and Green Day will debut their recently recorded cover of Scottish punk band the Skids' "The Saints Are Coming" at the official reopening of the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans prior to the New Orleans Saints' Monday Night Football game against the Atlanta Falcons, on Sept. 25.

Catch it live on ESPN, or buy it on Rhapsody (all profits will go to Music Rising, a music instrument replacement charity co-founded by U2 guitarist the Edge).

U2 has been in the studio preparing for their next album, which is being produced by Rick Rubin. The Green Day colaboration will also be featured on the new U2 album.

Talib Kweli at the Nokia Theatre Times Square

Anyone who has ever been to the Nokia Theatre Times Square knows what a fantastic venue it is. The sound is fantastic, and the venue has a reputation for attracting some of the best acts who want to perform in NYC while keeping it intimate: Lenny Kravitz for his birthday concert, Prince to showcase Tamar, and Jay-Z for a pre-show the night before his recent Radio City concerts.

On October 15, it will be Talib Kweli's turn to take advantage of this venue. I would not miss it for the world. Tix are on sale at Ticketmaster.

Why did both Jay-Z and 50 said that Talib Kweli was one of their favorite rappers? Because he has hard-hitting hooks and lyrics that both educate and entertain. His latest single "Listen!!!" is brilliant. And based on what I've heard from the upcoming album "Eardrum ", Talib's got a lot more where that came from.
