MJB's "The Breakthrough" took a new meaning when she received 8 Grammy nominations on Dec. 7 Earlier this month, Blige won nine trophies at the Billboard Music Awards. Beyond Blige, other key multiple Grammy nominees include the Red Hot Chili Peppers (six nominations) and James Blunt, the Dixie Chicks, John Mayer, Danger Mouse, Prince, Rick Rubin, Will.i.am and composer John Williams (all with five each).

MJ's Chritmas in March
In Japan, Christmas has been rescheduled for March. The King of Pop was scheduled to make an appearance at the "Tokyo Christmas Celebration" event Dec. 19, for which fans payed up to ¥400,000 ($3,400) to meet him. However, the event promoters announced today that MichaelJackson had decided to instead hold two separate events in March: The "Premium VIP Party" on March 8 will allow purchasers of ¥400,000 "platinum tickets" to meet and have their picture taken with Jackson, who will not perform at the event. While the "Fan Appreciation Day" will be held on March 9, with tickets costing ¥15,000 ($130). The events will feature dancers performing to Jackson's hits in front of MJ. Both events will take place at Tokyo Studio Coast.
