The Arcade Fire, Air, Deerhoof, Secret Machines and the Polyphonic Spree will be among the acts to participate in the High Line Festival, which will be curated by David Bowie. This music festival will run May 9-19 at venues near the High Line, a public park being created atop a long-abandoned elevated railway line on the west side of Manhattan.
David Bowie is surprisingly not sipposed to perform at any of these outdoor concerts. He's only supposed to identify "artists and acts that I myself would go out of my way to see," Bowie says on his Web site. The artist also believes that he will be able to add a few more artists and support acts that that have not been announced yet.
