The Great Lost Performance

Johnny_cash Johnny Cash's 1990 concert is set to be released next month. "The Great Lost Performance" features a string of Cash's best-known hits including "I Walk the Line", "Ring of Fire" and "Folsom Prison Blues". It was recorded at Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, NJ. The show also features duets with Lucy Clark and his wife June Carter Cash.

Bob Marley Album to be Celebrated with New Film

Bob_marley The 30th anniversary of the release of Bob Marley's classic "Exodus" album will be celebrated with a series of special movie screenings in the UK this summer. The album was recently reissued on four different audio formats: standard and deluxe CDs, vinyl, and USB Memory Stick.
A specially-packaged 30th Anniversary DVD of "Exodus Live At The Rainbow" will be released on June 18.

Michael Jackson Buys Stake in Eminem's Catalog

MJ was famously parodied in Eminem's video for the single 'Without Me', and MJ had complained publicly about it, back in 2002. However, that did not stop the king of pop from buying a stake in Eminem's back catalogue.
Jackson, also owns a stake of The Beatles copyright, but also songs by Shakira, Beck and Bjork.

John's Piano COULD Be Yours

John Lenon's piano is for sale, and it could be yours if you have $375,000. The upright piano was used by the former Beatle the day he died, on December 8, 1980.
The instrument was also used by Lenon, when he recorded Imagine in 1971.

JT launches Tenman

Justin_tJT is starting his own label Tenman as a joint venture with Interscop Records. "We are all excited about the talent we have to offer already on our roster and I cannot wait to introduce the world to my new discoveries" Timberlake said.
Aside from that, Timberlake is keeping busy by working with Madonna for her new album.

Sonic Youth's Daydream

Sonic Youth has released details about its deluxe reissue of 1988 “Daydream Nation”, due June 12.

It will include two discs with rare covers, new liner notes, and previously unseen band photos, and of course the remastered original album and 15 live performances from their original tour. And the icing on the cake is the featured Beatles “Within You Without You'.

Common's Finding Forever

CommonCommon’s upcoming CD “Finding Forever” is now scheduled for a July 10 release. The album's first single is called “The People” and was produced by Kanye West. Lily Allen is also featured on the album, which was produced by Kanye, will.i.am, Devo Springsteen and the late J Dilla. In an interview with Billboard, Common said of the follow-up to 2005's “Be” said, “I want to leave a mark on this earth. By making music and saying what I have to say in my music is one of the ways I will exist forever”.

Pearl Jam Touring For Fun

Pearl_jam_2Billboard confirmed that Pearl Jam will hit the road in Europe for three weeks beginning June 8 in Lisbon, and will also headline the final day of Lollapalooza in Chicago on Aug. 5. However, the band does not have a "set date" for the follow-up to ast year's self-titled album, but according to guitarist Mike McCready the band decided that they still couldn't pass up a series of "pretty cool offers" on the live front this summer.
